We love our pierogies here in Ambridge. We will be holding our Second Annual Pierogie Challenge to find out whose pierogies "Reign Supreme" on Saturday, May 17th at 11:30 am. The contest will once again feature the "Pierogie Churches" of the Ambridge area.
The participants in last years' Pierogie Challenge (in alphabetical order) were: Good Samaritan Parish, St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Parish, St. John Orthodox Church, St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, and St. Vladimir Orthodox Church.
In a hotly contested outcome, Good Samaritan placed first in the Potato/Cheese category, and St. Mary Byzantine placed first in the Sauerkraut category. Congratulations!
