45th Annual Nationality Days
May 14, 15, 16, 2010
Parade: Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 10:00 AM
For the past 45 years, the Ambridge Area Chamber of Commerce has been hosting the Nationality Days Festival, an annual heritage festival that celebrates the region's ethnic pride.

Nationality Days is a "True Heritage festival".  The Ambridge Area Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to providing a true, one of a kind, ethnic experience for all of the 40,000 visitors to the festival.  This year and for future year's the Ambridge Area Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to creating a "one of a kind" experience.  They are dedicating their time to create a festival, unlike any other, with "something different on every corner".

The three-day extravaganza takes place the third weekend in May (this year May 14-15-16, 2010). Over 100 vendors lining the heart of the business district to welcome the 40,000 tourists and locals who attend the event each year. The tantalizing aroma of  food fills the air as delicacies representing over fifteen cultures are served from 40 food booths. Crafts are here, too - you can shop at approximately 45 crafts booths.

New for 2010 is the addition of a festival wide sound system.  This sounds system will allow, even Ambridge businesses and residents to enjoy the sounds of the festival on their radios.  A second stage has also been added for this years festival to host the "Ambridge Idol"  a singing and talent competition sponsored by Vocelli's Pizza of Ambridge and Kasper-Hahn Funeral Home.

The ethnic tradition is staying alive during the festival with the addition of roaming performers.  Many of the acts seen on the main stage during the 3 days of the festival will be taking their acts to the streets for non stop entertainment throughout the festival.

Lively ethnic entertainment is a mainstay of the festival.  Some of the region's best ethnic musicians and dancers perform with non-stop entertainment over the three days. For family fun, there are two children's activity areas with games, moon bouncers, pony rides and more that will entertain the young ones.

This year's parade will also be traveling through the festival from 14th to 4th streets and continues to strive to be one of the best parades in the county.
